Virginia Wine Tour '97

October 3-6, 1997
by James Kinn

Get ready for the highlight of the ride year! Announcing the Virginia Vineyard Tour for '97. This will be a perfect weekend the first weekend in October. We will spend Saturday, Sunday and Monday (optional) riding in the Charlotte, Va area to the best Vineyards and sampling the wines as we go. Plan to arrive on Friday nite at the Campgrounds of America. Hot showers and full camping accommodations are at this facility. All rides will begin and end at this location. The rides will be through spectacular country reminiscent of France. We plan to go to the Monicello Wine and Food Festival at the Boars Head Inn. Your preparation for this event is to be fit and triple chain wheels are highly recommended. Assisting me this time will be Al Johnson as quality assurance officer (real route maps) and co-brewermeister. I will also start things off with the traditional toast of strawberry wine and something new this year, blackberry wine. To register or request more info, call me at 851-5600 or e-mail at JamesKinn@aol.com before Sunday, September 28.
