Essentially an out-and-back to Oxford on Bike Route 1. Because the bridge over Smith Creek on Lawrence Road is under construction, the 2008 route changes slightly from previous years. On the way out we'll continue north on Bruce Garner and turn left on Wayside Farm Road (just after the junk yard), then left on NC96, and finally right (at the white church) to stay on NC96 and rejoin BR1 heading toward Wilton. Most of the route is marked with the white Bike Route 1
