In response to Kris & Bob Door's letter regarding the lack of
etiquette displayed by some riders, I too am concerned by such
disrespect.  What amazes me most is the rider who comes up to a
red light at a busy intersection, pauses for a second, then races
through the light as though traffic rules do not apply to them.
Talk about giving cyclists a bad name!  If you want to use the
roads, you have to obey the laws.  Sure, there are occaisions
when it's necessary to run a red light such as one that needs to
be tripped by a car and there's no cars going your direction to
trip it.  But those occaisions are rare and we shouldn't abuse
the rules.
