- the GRITS acronym takes center stage
- we added a small "Greater ... Tandem Society" with the bowl of GRITS (back by popular demand) on the left shoulder (in case you forget what it means!)
- brighten the background (reduced the black, increase the red), reverse red and black positions
- to help get a more complete picture we added side panels and sleeves, so you get a better feel for the final jersey
- Other comments: we had a request for maybe cartoon characters, or a more southern flair, some people prefer the logo we have on the site rather than the tandem couple
- do not like color scheme
- want more colors (yes, we liked the idea of 5 colors like the Olympic rings, but are we willing to put more dollars?)
- want people on the bike (agreed, but that took work)
Last time, we had 27 orders, not enough to meet Louis Garneau's minimum. Several additional people responded, but once the price was published never responded, we took that as a "no".
So, we contacted Voler (because we like their products as well), they have a minimum of 25, but their prices are higher than we would have if we had met the 16 men / 16 women we needed with Louis Garneau, on the other hand they have flexibility in their orders so 12 men's, 12 women's and 1 sleeveless would meet Voler's 25 minimum.
Here's the deal - we can order a combination of the following articles - for 3 color items (as proposed)
- men short sleeve raglan, women short sleeve raglan, sleeveless jersey, wind vests all count against the minimum
- if our order is less than 49 units, the cost per unit is $68.50 (we added S&H)
- if our order is above 50 units, the cost per unit is $55.50 (we added S&H)
If we make up our minds before end of March, we could get the jerseys early July. Let us know if you are interested. If we get numbers big enough, then we will start the ordering process.
